Setting up quotas

Quotas let you control how responses are distributed across gender and age groups, ensuring your sample matches your research needs.

Gender Quotas

Select one of the following options:

  • None collects responses without any predefined gender split, on a first-come basis.
  • Census distributes responses according to general population statistics for the selected country.
  • Custom lets you define your own gender distribution. Select this option and enter your preferred split in the table that appears.

Age Group Quotas

Select one of the following options:

  • None collects responses on a first-come basis with no age group controls. We recommend against this option as it may introduce age bias in your results.
  • Census+16 distributes responses according to census data, starting from age 16.
  • Census+18 distributes responses according to census data, starting from age 18.
  • Custom lets you define your own age group distribution. Select this option and adjust the age brackets and participant counts in the expanded field.

You can toggle "Setup in percentage (%)" to enter your quota distributions as percentages rather than absolute numbers.
