Multi-survey setup: FAQ
This article answers the most frequently asked questions about setting up multi-survey drafts:
- Will the data collection happen in one survey link?
- No. The multi-survey set-up is only meant for the drafting stage. Once a monad/country is submitted, it loses its connection to the master and will work as a single survey.
- Will the data automatically get combined into a master dashboard?
- Once data collection is over, you will be able to analyze the data of all monads/countries in a combined dashboard that our team prepares for you based on the master
- Can I set up different target-groups per monad/country?
- Simply toggle on "Individual audiences per survey" on the Configure tab
- How do I submit the master?
- The master can be submitted once all monads/countries are submitted. It can only be submitted with the "submit without deduction" button
- Can I duplicate a multi-survey project?
- No, this is not supported yet. You can only duplicate the master and it will not include any questions coming from child drafts.
- Can I duplicate a child draft?
- Yes, duplication within the multi-survey project is possible.
- Can I duplicate the master?
- The master cannot be duplicated within the same multi-survey project. You can duplicate it into a new multi-survey set-up from the project list
- What is included in the word downloads?
- The word download reflects all questions/answers that will be included in the final survey.
- If you download the word from the master, it includes all master questions/answers and the questions/answers from all children.
- If you download the word from a child, it includes all master questions/answers except those excluded from the child and all questions/answers from that child.
- What is shown on the simulator/preview link?
- The word simulator/preview link reflects all questions/answers that will be included in the final survey.
- Accessed from the master, it shows all master questions/answers and the questions/answers from all children.
- Accessed from a child, it shows all master questions/answers except those excluded from the child and all questions/answers from that child.
- How can I handle translations?
- If you want to keep a version in the original language, use “create translated copy”. We recommend to use this option
- If you don’t need the original version, use “translate this survey”. Careful, this does override the draft you are on
- Why can't I edit the question I want to edit?
- When you are on the master, only questions that were created on the master can be edited. Questions that were created on a child cannot be edited there.
- When you are on a child:
- Only certain edits are possible for questions that were created on the master. You can overwrite text and add or exclude items. All other edits need to be done on the master.
- To ensure the master always reflects what will be needed for the final mapping, the below cannot be adapted on a child if coming from the master. In order to create monad/country specific versions of these, please duplicate them on the child first. You can then edit the duplicate and exclude the original.
